Pakistan’s Water Concern Reaches Xi Jinping, Shehbaz Seeks Indus Water From India

Islamabad: Pakistan has again started crying over water. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told the SCO forum on Tuesday that water is the life of the region, do not make it a weapon. His gesture was directly towards India. It so happened that India has thrown into the trash the decision of the Hague court which was hearing the Indus Water Treaty. India bluntly said - this very court of yours is illegal, don't give us knowledge.

Why did India say - this court itself is fake?

The story starts with the Pahalgam terrorist attack. In April last year, terrorists had killed 26 people in Pahalgam. After that, India took strict steps and suspended the Indus Water Treaty of 1960. Pakistan went to the Permanent Court of Arbitration in Hague regarding this matter. The court also said something in favor of Pakistan. But India said that we do not accept this court. The Ministry of External Affairs clearly said that this court has been formed illegally. No external organization can point a finger at India's sovereign decision.
